The sky was cloudless. The blue turned darker. The sun intensified the contrast between where the light could reach and the shade. It was lunchtime. My stomach rumbled. Near the top of the open Wall, I decided to rest and eat the egg roll inside a clean tower. Taking off my sweat-stained hat and letting my hair breathe in the air, I chose to sit on a shady window, which overlooked a small luxuriant gorge half in the shade. On each side was a section of the beautiful Wall with people scattering leisurely in colors. The cool of the breeze moderately refreshed my face. I felt terribly good. The spicy egg roll was tasty, despite being cold. It was satisfying. The rumbles dissolved. Recharging my battery to the fullness of autumn leaves, I looked far into the distance. My mind naturally started fl owing and sinking and fl owing again. More of the gorge was shaded, but I felt a hysterical reluctance to move.
